Description

Private Members’ Bill C-300, the Corporate Accountability of Mining, Oil and Gas Corporations in
Developing Countries Act, will require Canadian companies to follow Canada’s environmental best
practices and human rights standards while working in developing countries. Is this an appropriate
direction for Canada to take in Charting Our Common Future? How will this impact Canada’s
economic activities?

Five Panelists will discuss the content and ramification of this Bill C-300. Each panelist will give a
short presentation, and there will be ample time afterwards for questions from the audience.

FREE refreshments and snacks will be served!
