The Carbon Charter: Moving To Carbon Zero in Ten Years

Berkeley California is offering "free" solar systems. By 2016 all homes in England must be zero carbon. Buses and trains have no fares in Hasselt, Belgium. All new buildings in Germany are now required to be heated by renewable energy.

Environmental researcher Godo Stoyke will review the most innovative, effective, and practical bylaws, acts, initiatives and design principles that have been implemented in jurisdictions around the world. Mr. Stoyke's third book, "The Carbon Charter," describes many of the key policies and bylaws which we need to adopt to create a carbon-free society. "The Carbon Charter" will be in bookstores in June of 2009.

Godo Stoyke is an award-winning presenter with a MSc from the University of Alberta. Godo is president of Carbon Busters, a sustainability consultancy focusing on energy efficiency, green and zero-carbon design, sustainability strategy, and environmental education. His company has been assisting municipalities in Canada, the US and Europe to reduce their carbon and ecological footprints since 1993.
