The Good Food Project is a non-profit pilot program to increase access to local food for citizens in our region. We will deliver weekly boxes of mixed produce, running a minimum of 6 weeks, starting in mid August.

One of our goals is to make “Local” easy. We can deliver to your home, your office or your business, whatever is easiest for you.

The Good Food Project is a multi-farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). This CSA will buy produce from local farmers in NE Edmonton and, if required, from local farmers in the surrounding area. The Good Food Project is a social enterprise with a social purpose meaning that at least 10% of our revenue will be used to reduce the cost of a Good Food Box for low income families. We hope to act as a training program for under employed Albertans.

The final day for online registration is July 6, 2009.

Held every three years since 2000, Stewardship and Conservation is the national conference where Canada’s stewards can meet to discuss emerging issues and solutions for strengthening stewardship across the country. The program will open with a summary of the State of Stewardship in Canada report, which will review adopted policy directions, conservation tools, strategies of various communities of stewardship interest including governments, resource industries, and non-government organizations, and conclude with gaps and remedial actions required. Plenary and concurrent sessions, poster papers and field trips will be focused around the top issues affecting Canadians where stewardship can make a difference! Program themes include: Overspending our Natural Capital? – Making Stewardship Part of the Answer; Responding to Our Changing World – Environment and Our Health, Climate Change, the Changing Demographics of Our Communities, Globalization (Food, Energy, and Biofuels); Stewardship from Grassroots to Policy; and Showcasing Innovations in Stewardship (including examples related to watersheds).
